One of the first steps to create a new dashboard is configuration. Here, creators can determine the dashboard type, which processes the data is coming from, and whether to apply filters to the dashboard.
Select a Dashboard Layout by clicking on the desired design.
The layout can be modified at a later stage. To do this, click on Layout Menu, select a different layout and click Apply.
Once you have selected a layout, the Dashboard Configuration will appear. The dashboard needs to be configured before you add charts.
Data Source (A) – Define where the data is coming from by selecting a data source. You can add more than one data source if you wish to combine data from multiple sources onto a single dashboard.
Filters (B) – Filters can be added to the overall dashboard.
If you have selected multiple data sources, you will need to apply the filters to each data source.
Next, navigate to Dashboard Visibility and set who you want to be able to see the dashboard by configuring the visibility settings. A list of existing logins will appear for selection.
Click Apply.
